YQA: How to apologise

Deary Me!

Recently there have been some really dodgy public apologies issued, where individuals and companies have been called out due to a perceived lack of authenticity in acknowledging their wrongdoings We all screw up, but there is a way to make amends and salvage the relationship when we have done wrong. We cover how to apologise in this weeks YQA : How to apologise

My biggest learnings have come only after acknowledging my error properly, and I've found that my deepest relationships are those in which I was not perfect.

Acknowledging your error and the hurt you have caused is a sign of strength, and it is so very necessary for closure and peace.

If you want to gracefully learn and move on, don’t sleep on your apology game

P.S. Don’t be afraid to send this one to someone who you think needs  a little instruction in this area

YQA: Multitasking vs Focus?

Have you mastered the ability to focus?

This time of year is absolutely crazy! Projects and goals are reaching full flow and the demands on our time are at their peak! So it's even more important to double down to get stuff done.

My portfolio career may seem like a dream, but juggling this many balls can be a nightmare…the higher you rise, the more you are expected to carry, and this means learning how to focus on one thing at a time to get them all done, rather than running around like a chicken with its head cut off and not getting anything done.

We were not taught how to focus in school, and so I had to to teach myself how to focus, and actually work on developing my ‘focus muscle’ through...

  • meditation,
  • timed work sprints,
  • small chunky work goals
  • extreme ‘calendering’,
  • a controlled workspace
  • and the elimination of distractions and notifications.

My focussing skills have grown stronger and my output has multiplied tenfold, and so in this...

YQA: How to deal when imposter syndrome hits!

Do you ever feel like a fraud, like you’re not supposed to be where you are? We all do‍

Imposter Syndrome is real my friend, I have struggled with this and it almost stopped me from going for my goals and living my best life.

It was amazing how scary it was just to create a youtube channel. I think it’s because it’s almost a declaration that I have something to say, it's standing up on a platform and declaring yourself important. That is hella difficult for everyone on most days, and there were so many ways that I sabotaged myself from doing this.

I’ve wanted to do it for years, but I convinced myself that:

  • no one wanted to hear what I have to say,
  • that I was too young,
  • that I was too old,
  • that I had a face for radio,
  • that I was too late to the game,

and that was all hogwash.

Here’s the thing, you can vanquish this demon and in this weeks’ Your Questions Answered' video we dive in and cover:

  • Why its ok...

YQA: How to deal with Overwhelm when it hits

Overwhelm is real my friend, so in this week’s video (my first one) I give a short bit of advice on how I handle it. Things are coming at me left, right and centre on a daily basis, and sometimes it seems easier to stick my head under the duvet. And we all feel it, so I wanted to share strategies on how I deal when I am overwhelmed that get me through the rough patches.

I literally just launched it late last night (part of my April Goals) and I need your...
